PeNaNg's Weekend

t's already May!!! The best month in a year, well at least for yours truly :)

Labour day today, and im home.
Just after lunch and had a very long shower.

Lets talk about my recent trip to Penang.
Place where i went on fortnight basis before.
When i was way younger and very much naive.

Was pretty exciting morning, last Friday - 25th April.
I woke up at 5.50am, to the ringing of an sms on my lovely new Nokia 6120 (he he).
An sms saying "wake up.. your bus already waiting"...
Then the sms sender called and we spoke until 630am (im supposed to leave the house by then, but im still on my pjs).

Arrived at the office at around 715am, thanks to my lil sist ta who sent me there. Almost all of the ppl going already there. I board coach no 7 and found out that my supposed to be roommate is not coming.

We started our journey north at 8am (so much for punctuality).
We have escorts!!! I was so happy as there is no traffic jam, no traffic lights from office to toll Jalan Duta.

The journey has been a wonderful one for me. It took us 6 hours to reach Penang, but i loved every moment. Its the first few hours of walking the memory lanes for me.

After abandoning Penang for 4 long years. Im finally have the reason to go again.

I made friends with a lot of ppl when i was in Penang. And rekindling a friendship with the very "reason" why i loved Penang before.

First night, when all of my colleagues went to the "Pirate of the Caribbeans' theme dinner, i went out with my friend and went to the famous Pasar Malam in Ferringgi town. I bought 49 pcs of DVDs, cost me $179.

The next day, 40 of us went to an orphanage called "Rumah Jagaan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah" in Balik Pulau.

It was so touching to watch the kids. We gave them our donations, Alhamdulillah, a big number of RM13,000.00++ in total. We also had been treated with Durians and Mangosteens by a few Managers that was with us on the trip on our way back to the hotel.

A video of the kids singing for us --> http://vupload.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1013133803530

It was a free and easy afternoon, and me and a few of the ladies took the free shuttle and went shopping to Georgetown. To KOMTAR and CHOWRASTA. I was given the task of being "the tour guide" and alhamdulillah, managed to guide them to the best place to buy jeruks in Chowrasta. I bought 5kgs of jeruk, and a few second hand books.

The dinner that took place that night was a bit boring. I was almost fell asleep on the dinner table. But anyhow, everyone has put on so much efforts and they should be happy that things went ok.

The next day, it was time to go home. It was a bad journey.. as i was sad to go home, and it took us 7 long hours to arrived!

All in all.. been a good three days vacation.
Some part of me was left in Penang. I will definitely comes back.

Never know how i missed it till i was finally there...didn't we all?

i.d.d.i.e.n.
